OPERA: Echoes of Love is a curated opera program celebrating love, emotion, and lyrical expression through some of the most beloved vocal works in the classical and operatic repertoire. This performance brings together famous arias, duets, and instrumental highlights that explore different shades of love, from playful charm and tender romance to deep longing and nostalgia.
Performed by Nadlada Thamtanakom, Usa Napawan, and Chaiphat Tripipitsiriwat, the program features iconic selections including The Doll Song from Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann, The Flower Duet from Lakmé by Léo Delibes, Puccini’s Quando m’en vo from La Bohème, as well as expressive works by Schubert, Rachmaninov, Elgar, Massenet, Poulenc, and Mangani. The evening also includes the timeless chanson Hymne à l’amour by Edith Piaf, creating a rich and varied journey through vocal music inspired by love.

Soprano
Nadlada sings with Opera Siam since many years. Roles include The Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Flora (Turn of the Screw) and Queen of Heaven (The Silent Prince). In 2014 she returned to Thailand to create the role of Dainagon no Suke in Somtow Sucharitkul’s Dan no Ura, conducted by the composer. Thanks to a scholarship from Khunying Kaseam-Phornthip Narongdej Foundation in Thailand, she was able to study in Belgium, at the French- and Flemish-speaking conservatories, and Operatudio Vlaanderen. Roles in Europe have included the Princess in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, Aspasia in Mozart’s Mitridate, Rè di Ponto, Kristin in Philippe Boesmans Julie, and Despina in Così fan tutte. Nadlada offers her services as a singing coach, vocal producer, and consultant.

Pianist
Usa ventured into political science for her undergraduate studies and was awarded a degree of in International Relations from Chulalongkorn University. It was not until her postgraduate studies that she decided to return to music and received collegiate level training in piano performance from the College of Music, Mahidol University where she received her Master in Music under the tutelage of Dr. Nopanand Chanorathaikul. Her former piano instructors are Prof. Mag. Margit Heider Dechant, Dr. Suwanna Wangsophon, Dr. Eri Nakagawa and Ajarn Kannika Issawas. She has a long-standing artistic relationship with the Pro Musica international singing workshop and the renowned vocal coach Loh Siew Tuan.
She has worked closely with Ms. Loh, as well as the celebrated accompanist Hein Boterberg, in Winter Journey, masterclasses for vocal and piano accompaniment held in collaboration with Opera Studio Vlanderen, Belgium. Currently, she is a sought-after educator and collaborative pianist who performs regularly with both Thai and international artists, including Apichai Laemthong, Kalaya Phongsathorn, Chaiphat Tripipitsiriwat, Jonathan Glonek, Julien Beaudiment, Trevor W. Wye, Raphael Leone, James Hall, Marco Antonio Mazzini, Arnaldo de Felice, Angela Firkins and Gianni Biocotino. She was also invited to “4to Congreso Latinoamericano de Clarinetistas” at Lima, Peru in 2019 and performed with Chaiphat Tripipitsiriwat, Edwin Rodriguez and Sergio Bosi.

Clarinetist
Chaiphat is a founder of “Thailand International Clarinet Academy”, the first clarinet training sessions and a new clarinet community for clarinetists all over the world. He extended the opportunity for young clarinetists by inviting both famous regional and international clarinetists to Thailand in order to conduct workshops, masterclasses, and on-stage performance, forming a cross-cultural relationship among clarinetists.
Currently, he is a clarinetist of Black Monster Clarinet Quartet, educator at Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PGVIM), a project manager of Thailand International Clarinet Academy, a clarinet instructor, and a soloist. He also gives workshops and masterclasss as invited by schools and universities all over Thailand to educate and inspire young clarinetists in remote areas. Chaiphat has reached international standard by being granted several awards in international competitions including, 6th West Pomeranian Clarinet Festival in Szczecin, Poland (Best Artist Performance Award), Thailand World Music Championship 2013 (1st runner-up), Thailand International Wind Ensemble Competition (2nd runner up) and 8th International Music Competition and Festival for Soloist and Chamber groups 2016 (Bronze award). Apart from competitions, he was invited to perform in Thailand and international music festivals, such as in Japan, Belgium, France, Singapore, Slovenia, Slovakia, Russia, Poland and Vietnam.
Back in school, Chaiphat graduated bachelor’s degree with second class honor in Music performance with Ms. Cassandra Fox Percival and Mr. Grzegorze Grzeszcyk at College of Music, Mahidol University. Later, with Mr. Eddy Vanoosthuyse, Principle of Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra’s supervision, h achieved master’s degree in Conservatoire Royal de Liège, Belgium with scholarship funds from 1) Classical Music Promotion under the Patronage of HRH Princess Galyani and 2) Conseil Social Règlement d’Octroi.
